To start you off we’ve created a short list of some of the basic things that you should consider and look for.

Consider how often you plan to travel. Do you wish to travel around Australia at your own pace, leisurely driving through scenic landscapes? Or do you just want to spend some weekends away to get away from the bustling city?
Consider how many people you will be travelling with. Are you just travelling with your partner? Do you have children? How many mates do you plan on taking? Think about if the travelling arrangement is comfortable and if there is enough accommodation for everyone.
Consider how difficult and how long it will be to set up your vehicle. Do you need to pitch a tent at night? Will you need to find a special area to set up? Will it be easy to level and position your RV?
Ensure your RV meets the Australian Standards and regulations. Is your vehicle manufactured in Australia and if not is the manufacturer aware of Australian Standards? Will you be able to register this RV with the RTA? Can this vehicle be easily insured?
Consider how much space you would like to have. How much storage space do you need? Will you be bringing your bike along? Will your belongings be securely stored?
